Interlibrary Loan
Many of the books listed in the catalog are available at your
local library. If they are not, they use a process called
Interlibrary Loan that can get you the book without requiring a
deposit. The state has just made this process a little
easier using MnLink which is a search engine that looks at
library catalogs throughout the state. You can find this
search engine either on your local library's website or at:
http://www.mnlinkgateway.org/zportal/zengine?VDXaction=ZSearchSimple
You must have a current local library card - with no fines.
If you find the book you want, you can request it yourself with
the "get it" button, the book will be sent to your local library
for you to pick up.
And just a couple of hints. An ISBN search works best.
If you have to do a title search, put it in quotes to search as
a phrase. If the process does not work for you, your local
library should be able to assist you."
